Quiltshot turns your photos into foundation paper piecing quilt patterns. It is an independent app made and run in Australia. This page explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your choices. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
The short version
- Your photos are used only to make your patterns, and are deleted automatically within about two days.
- We never sell your information, show you ads, or use your photos to train AI.
- If you make an account, we keep your email address, your downloaded patterns and your download credits until you ask us to delete them.
What we collect and how long we keep it

To see how the app is used, we count visits (a number per day, without your IP address or cookies) and record when patterns are made, accounts are created and patterns are downloaded. We may look at the patterns people make, never your photos, to improve how patterns come out.
Share links show a preview of a pattern you choose to share. Anyone with the link can see that preview, not your account or other patterns.
Who processes your information
- Amazon Web Services hosts the app, stores files and runs sign-in (Amazon Cognito), in Sydney, Australia.
- Google, if you choose "Sign in with Google": Google tells us your email address and name. The page's fonts also load from Google Fonts.
We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Cookies and storage in your browser
We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember what you were doing before signing in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to delete your account, by emailing hello@quiltshot.com. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Children
The app isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, if you have an account, tell you by email.
